KaHuna

Bodywork Warragul

Step into a space of calm and allow the ancient Hawaiian art of KaHuna bodywork to guide you back to balance.

KaHuna massage therapy

The Art of KaHuna

KaHuna massage draws on traditional Hawaiian bodywork practices, characterised by long, flowing strokes using the forearms and hands. The movements are continuous and wave-like, working both over and beneath the body to support a sense of connection and flow.

Each session is tailored to the individual, allowing the work to unfold in alignment with what is present on the day, and offering space to slow down and reconnect with self.

Benefits of KaHuna massage

Benefits of KaHuna

Many clients describe feeling lighter, more settled, and deeply relaxed following a KaHuna session. Over time, regular body work is often experienced as supportive in the following ways:

  • A sense of ease in areas of tension
  • Feeling more settled, or clear in the mind
  • Greater freedom of movement
  • Improved restfulness
  • A renewed sense of lightness
  • Feeling more connected to your body

What to Expect

KaHuna Bodywork is a distinctive, holistic practice inspired by the rhythm and movement of the ocean. It is experienced as a physical, emotional, and energetic journey, offering an opportunity to let go and return to balance. The work involves long, flowing, dynamic strokes that move over and under the body, honouring the whole person rather than treating isolated areas. Many people experience a sense of release, deep connection, and centredness following a session.

KaHuna can be gentle, nurturing, or more grounding and firm, depending on what is appropriate for you. Pressure and pace are adjusted throughout the session.

KaHuna is often described as unlike any massage people have previously experienced. Each session is unique and responsive to your needs on the day. The work may range from gentle and nurturing to deeper and more grounding, depending on what is appropriate for you. Preferences and boundaries are discussed beforehand. Most people leave feeling deeply relaxed, lighter, and more grounded.

No two sessions are the same. The work may include variations in pressure, speed, rhythm, or periods of stillness, depending on what is needed in the moment. KaHuna Bodywork is not a remedial or prescriptive treatment, but a responsive and intuitive practice.

Each session begins with a gentle arrival into the space and an opportunity to discuss your needs, intentions, and preferences to help shape the session.
Your practitioner will then leave the room while you undress and settle comfortably on the table under a sarong. The body is welcomed and gradually introduced to touch. Using warm oil and long, flowing strokes with the hands and forearms, the massage moves rhythmically in continuous, wave-like motions along the body.
You may be invited to roll over during the session, or a supported turning technique may be used so this can happen without effort from you. At times, your body may be gently lifted, held, supported, or moved around the table as part of the session.
The session concludes with a closing ritual, and a warm towel will be offered for your body and feet. The practitioner will leave the room while you dress. When you are ready, simply open the door and the practitioner will return briefly to offer space for reflection or to discuss your experience before you gently return to your day.
This full-body approach supports the release of tension and promotes balance and integration.

This is very common and completely understandable. Your session is guided by your needs and comfort level. You are encouraged to share how you are feeling so the experience can be shaped accordingly. Some people choose to begin with a back-body session only or to leave under-body work until a later time.
You remain in control throughout the session and may request changed, pauses or to stop at any time.

Touch is a fundamental human need. From infancy, touch supports regulation and connection, and this need does not disappear in adulthood. For some people, being held in a safe, respectful, and attuned way can be deeply restorative

While KaHuna Bodywork may feel sensual in the sense of being deeply embodied and sensory, it is not a tantric or sexual service. The work is grounded in presence, safety, and therapeutic intention.

KaHuna Bodywork Warragul provides a professional, therapeutic service grounded in safety, respect, and clear boundaries. It is not a sexual service and does not involve sexualised touch, behaviour, or intention. The purpose of the work is to support relaxation, regulation, and whole-body wellbeing.

Clear boundaries are maintained at all times, including respectful non-sexual touch, appropriate draping for privacy and modesty, and ongoing consent and communication.

Normal, involuntary biological responses to touch may occur and are not judged. Any sexualised behaviour request or actions that that fall outside the scope of therapeutic bodywork, will not be accommodated and will result in the session being ended with full payment expected.

Yes, please inform your practitioner of any medical conditions, injuries, recent surgeries, pregnancy, or medications that may affect your session. This ensures the work can be adapted appropriately and safely.

KaHuna may not be suitable for some medical conditions. Please discuss any health concerns before booking so the session can be adapted appropriately.
Our massage table is designed with a pregnancy feature that allows face-down positioning while feeling fully supported. Laying in this position alone may feel deeply relieving.

It is recommended that you:
• Stay well hydrated
• Eat lightly and avoid heavy meals for 1–2 hours beforehand
• If shaving is part of your normal practice, please consider
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing
• Arrive with a clean body

Due to the long, flowing strokes used, if shaving is part of your normal routine, you may wish to consider this beforehand to support your practitioners comfort.

KaHuna is typically received unclothed, to allow for full uninterrupted flowing movements. The body respectfully draped using a sarong and modesty towel to ensure privacy and comfort. Wearing underwear is optional. Additional covering may interrupt the flow of the work and limit the full KaHuna experience

You will never be completely naked. If you choose not to wear underwear, your private areas will always be covered, with appropriate draping used at all times to maintain privacy and modesty.

After your session, it is important to go gently with yourself. KaHuna can be a physical, emotional, and energetic experience. Drink plenty of water and allow time for rest and reflection.

KaHuna can be experienced as a one-off session or as part of regular self-care. Many people choose monthly sessions to support an ongoing sense of balance, grounding, and wellbeing.

MCT coconut oil is used, along with Shemana chrystal-infused ritual sprays and complementary oils., depending on your needs

Mobile massage may be available by arrangement. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.
